Seabrook Marchant

President, Broker in Charge

Designations/Affiliations:

GRI-Graduate Realtors Institute; CRB, Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager; CMP, Certified Marketing Professional. Currently a candidate for MIRM designation from the Institute of Residential Marketing from the National Association of Homebuilders; BS degree from Clemson University in 1964.

Experience/Background:

Seabrook entered the real estate business in 1968 after a brief career in the textile business, two years of active duty with the US Army and various sales and management positions until founding The Marchant Company in 1993. He is past President of both the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors and Greenville Multiple Listing Service. Seabrook was named “Realtor of the Year” in 1981. Served as Secretary and Treasurer of The South Carolina Association of Realtors and Chairman of The South Carolina Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) and named “Realtor Emeritus” by NAR in 2009. Director of The Home Builders Association of Greenville. Past President of The Greenville Touchdown Club, Past Chairman of the Civil Service Commission for The City of Greenville, Past Chairman of The Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament Committee. Charter Member and Life Member of Heritage Sertoma Club. Named “Sertoman of the Year” in 1974. Served a six-year term as Board Member of Clemson University IPTAY Scholarship Fund. Also served as Vice President of The Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, Secretary and Board member for Connector 2000 Association, Past President of the Caesar’s Head Community Center, and Chair, Board of Trustees for Faith Memorial Chapel, Cedar Mountain, NC.

Strategy/Motivation:

Truly enjoys the real estate business and helping clients achieve their goals. Enjoys seeing the company’s agents succeed. Is motivated by the dynamic business climate of Greenville and the opportunity to positively contribute to its growth.

Personal/Community Interests:

Married to the former Anne Hendrix; three children, Brian, Mary Beth, and Laura; and seven grandchildren. Seabrook enjoys tennis, golf, and community service.

Anne Marchant

Business Manager, Realtor®

Experience/Background:

Seabrook, Anne, and Brian Marchant are co-owners of Marchant Real Estate. Anne is a graduate of Furman University and the Wyatt School of Real Estate. She is in her eleventh year with Marchant Real Estate, upon retiring after 34 years as Litigation Coordinator for The Wyche Law Firm in Greenville  where she specialized in preparing cases for trial. Anne works with her son, Brian on the “March to Sold” team.

Strategy/Motivation:

Anne is motivated to provide professional assistance to her clients to achieve the best results whether they are buying or selling a home. Her past legal experience helps with negotiating a contract price and negotiating repairs, etc.

Personal/Community Interests:

She and her husband, Seabrook, have three children and seven wonderful grandchildren (5 boys and 2 girls). Anne is a member of the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors, Multiple Listing Service, and Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. She volunteers with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity. She loves spending time with her grandchildren, attending lots of athletic events to watch them play, and showing newcomers around our wonderful downtown and surrounding areas.

Brian Marchant

Vice President, CFO, Realtor®

Experience/Background:

Seabrook, Anne, and Brian Marchant are co-owners of  Marchant Real Estate. Brian is also Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer with company. Brian was born and raised in Greenville, SC and is a 1995 graduate of Wofford College with a B.A. in Economics. He also graduated from the Wyatt School of Real Estate in Greenville, SC. In 2019, he has been in the real estate business for 24 years. Brian works with his mother, Anne, on the “March to SOLD” team.

Strategy/Motivation:

Finding his client the “perfect” home is what Brian always tries to do. He also enjoys the process of assisting his client in finding a builder to build their “dream” home. Listing homes for sale and getting them sold in a timely manner is what he strives to do. His motivation comes from helping his family’s real estate business continue to grow and excel in all areas. He enjoys making new friends in the process!

Personal/Community Interests:

Brian is a member of the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors, Multiple Listing Service, and Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. He was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at Christ Church Episcopal School in 2003 for both tennis and basketball. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is married and has two sons, Caden, age 18, and Parker, age 9. He is a member of the Greenville County Club and enjoys playing golf and tennis. He spends lots of time watching Parker play baseball, tennis, and basketball. He also enjoys participating on host committees to raise money for local charities. He is a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity.

Tom Marchant

Vice President of Marketing, Realtor®

Tom is president of the Caesars Head Community Center and is active in organizations ranging from Greenville Chamber to Home Builders Association to Greater Greenville Association of Realtors.

Experience and Background

With Greenville roots 100 years deep, Tom Marchant has dedicated himself to helping other families grow here, too. He does this professionally – Tom is one of the Upstate’s most trusted Realtors – and via dedicated voluntarism focused on faith, education, and youth and family development.

Tom brings an eclectic mix of experience to his role as a consistent top agent and VP of Marketing at The Marchant Company. A 1992 graduate of Clemson University, he spent eight years as a top sales producer within the luxury hotel industry before moving into radio sales/strategy. His tenure with The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts provide him significant insight into high-end client service and expectations, while time with Cox Media Group developed his creative use of marketing strategy. What’s more, Tom has lived in cities of varied sizes — spending many of his formative years in Tampa, then working in Atlanta for nearly a decade before returning to his hometown – so he combines a cosmopolitan perspective with an appreciation of all things local.

Thus, Tom has become Greenville’s go-to Realtor for fine homes and properties. He is a professional who understands the psychology of top-tier properties and utilizes inventive know-how to market them. He connects comfortably with clients, whether long-time locals or prospective transplants.

As a neighbor, he strives for sincerity in every transaction, focusing on clients’ long-term satisfaction rather than quick, easy sales.

A consistent top agent, working with buyers and sellers, Tom is keen on tech-savvy marketing to position high-end homes in front of their potential new owners. To this end, he utilizes skilled stagers, professional photographers, creative writers and targeted print publications to best showcase each property, with promotions accented, perhaps, by aerial photos, streaming videos, social media and more.

Personal/Community Interests

Tom is a city-dweller – he and his wife, Gidge, live in the Augusta Road Area with their two teens – but he’s spent a lifetime of weekends and holidays with his family atop Caesar’s Head. So he is at home, literally as well as figuratively, in both the bustle of Downtown Greenville and the beauty of the Carolina mountains, and these places have become his professional niche.

Away from the office, Tom is a member of First Presbyterian Church Greenville where he serves as Deacon, leads a youth high school small group and participates in programs such as the men’s ministry and prayer ministry. He and Gidge belong to the PTAs and SICs at their children’s schools while also mentoring a student at Hollis Academy.

Kendall Bateman

Kendall Bateman is the Business Development Director as well as an Associate Broker for The Marchant Company.  Kendall brings a strong background in local residential real estate sales and marketing to The Marchant Company team and is a licensed Broker in South Carolina. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Clemson University and has previous experience in the real estate and custom home building industries.

Personal/Community Interests

Kendall is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. When Kendall isn’t busy working she enjoys traveling to the coast and mountains, Clemson football tailgating and spending time enjoying all that Greenville has to offer with her husband, William, and two young children.

Linda Maisenhelder

Administrative Assistant, Receptionist

Experience/Background:

Linda has been associated with the real estate industry for the past 25 years so she has a real talent for working with real estate agents and a gift for customer service as well. She worked for a real estate company in Augusta, GA for almost 20 years and locally has worked for two large real estate companies in the Greenville area.

Strategy/Motivation:

She loves helping people, whether it be agents or buyers, sellers, or someone looking for a home to lease. Linda describes herself as a person who really has a heart for others.

Personal/Community Interests:

Linda and her husband Ken live in the Wren community. They have one son, Jeremy. She enjoys working in her garden and church activities. She and her family enjoy watching Gamecock football and baseball.

Carley Riggs

Marketing Director

As the Marketing Director for Marchant Real Estate, Carley manages digital and print marketing, event coordination, and reporting. Carley joined the company with a background in property management and marketing services, working for companies in North Carolina, South Carolina, and West Virginia. Carley is a graduate of Clemson University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

Allie Kyber

Allie Kyber

Allie first came to the company as in intern in her senior year at Powdersville High School. Still with the company today, she primarily works in the marketing department and fills any gaps in the office she needs to. She currently attends Clemson University and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with minors in Spanish Studies and Business Administration.
